Every factual claim is confirmed by at least two independent sources, or one authoritative primary record (a court filing, a government database, an official transcript).

Everything we publish is marked Verified or Alleged. Anything we cannot verify is not published.

The subject is contacted for comment, with at least 48 hours, before publication. Responses are printed in full.

5. Corrections

Errors are corrected openly at the top of the piece, with a dated note. Send corrections to the address below.
